Ideals that have shaped my life, Part 1

Just figured this would give me something to write. Maybe I can keep my updates more regular.
This is just a list of some of the Quotes, Stories, Movies, Thoughts and Experiences that have more or less shaped my life or defined the way I choose to live.

"Fight Club" - Great movie, even greater philosophy. Shut up about the irony of a movie preaching about anti-consumerism. It does make you think, it made me think, what are we living our lives for? Are we really making our lives better? What is our definition of better anyway? More? Bigger? Shinier? Faster?

"Conversations with God 1-3" - If you don't read this, you don't know what you're missing out. But the key concepts are these;
1. We are all one
2. There is Enough
3.There is nothing we "have" to do

We exist so that we may experience ourselves for who we truly are. The choices we make, the things we do, are our expressions of ourselves. We are free to choose, what is our grandest vision of ourselves?

"Never take life seriously, no one gets out alive anyway." - How true... Some people take the smallest things way too seriously. Is that all our life really is about? Isn't it time you got about to doing something meaningful and worth while?
